This tract will feel like your own private slice of Tishomingo State Park without the crowds. Sandstone outcroppings, upland terrain with benches and natural drainage, and a year-round creek running through the bottom. This tract is just a stone throw from the park and has terrain and geological features.
Holly Branch, a tributary of Cedar Creek, flows through the central portion of the tract and provides perennial water and riparian habitat. The terrain includes ridges, benches, and hollows with scattered sandstone bluffs throughout the tract. The forest consists of mixed hardwoods and naturally regenerating pines.
The tract holds strong wildlife value. The combination of creek bottom, thick cover, bedding areas, and varied edge habitat supports whitetail deer, wild turkey, and small game. Several natural clearings are in place for potential food plots. Interior trails from prior logging activity are still usable in portions of the property.
The property is just minutes from both Tishomingo State Park and the Natchez Trace Parkway, placing it right in the heart of northeast Mississippi’s recreational corridor. It’s roughly 10 minutes to Belmont 15 minutes to Red Bay, Al and about 30 minutes to Iuka for larger retail, healthcare, and access to Pickwick Lake. Tupelo is under an hour to the southwest.
